Instead of the usual fetish of sculptural element design of the Memorial offers quiet, modest contemplative space perpetual reminder for all those who do not forget, all who feel reverence and responsibility. Memorial within every human being. Space cut out into the ground symbolizes underground movement of resistence. Sunken under the ground monument does not create an element which would appear against the skyline of Prague Castle and compete with it. On the contrary the Castle dominates the view from the space of the Memorial as an inspiration of heroism and symbol of the aim and reason of the sacrifice.
