Located on the banks of the river beyond the old town borders and next to the listed building of the Industrial School the Library forms new streets and becomes a transitional feature between the dense blocks of the city centre and solitary houses of the suburbs. Monumentality of the big simple volume corresponds the purpose of the building, fair face brickwork of the walls fits the context of the site.
