The pavilion of the Czech Republic for the Expo 2000 in Hannover is designed to present the CzechRrepublic to the international public as a state of an advanced culture engaged in ecological movement of the mankind. Simple yet distinctive architecture of the pavilion and interresting exhibition are engineered to draw visitors inside. Pavilion of not exceeding volume built from modest natural materials has shape of two intersecting hemispheres plunged into an abundant greenary.
The pavilion of the Czech Republic in shape of two intersecting glass half-spheres fetures ytheme of sustainable development. Conservatory which the pavilion resembles symbolizes protection of life and nature. Smaller halfdome really serves as greenhouse with theme of ecology. Bigger haf-sphere with theme expositions „ Past“, Presence“ and „Future“ merges with the smaller one into one interacting space. The pavilion includes restaurant and amphitheatre.
